Great Britain, known as Britain or GB, is the name for the largest of islands in the British Isles. It includes England, Scotland and Wales. It does not includes Northern Ireland.
Pollution
Britain is not a foggy country… but there is a lot of air pollution caused by traffic.
Britain used to be a foggy country. In 1956, smokeless zones were created in towns and cities and the amount of industrial smoke from factories was limited by law. The air in cities became much cleaner. But now, once again, the quality of air is not very good. Pollution or smog is caused by traffic fumes.
